Her iki sınav da 80 sorudan oluşur ve 100 dakika süreniz vardır. Sınavlar; çeviri, kelime bilgisi, dil bilgisi, okuduğunu anlama ve paragraf tamamlama soru tiplerinden oluşur.
YDS/YÖKDİL'de en çok puan getiren bölümler okuduğunu anlama ve çeviri sorularıdır. Kelime bilgisi ve gramer konuları ise sınavın temelini oluşturur. Her gün düzenli okuma pratiği yapmak, sınav başarısını doğrudan etkiler.
